#4: THE DIFFERENCE. This will make you! these in every Banbroken sneaker

No one has done this in history and I feel very very proud to be the first. How are you comrade?     Today I come to tell you something quickly, but honestly we have had difficulties again... Problems are part of my daily life. At the moment I cannot fully reveal what it is about, but if I am going to give you a hint, then I feel obliged to do so. My idea is that each of us present voluntarily participates and leaves something of ourselves in each shoe, so I will tell you that we have developed a way for your cell phone to interact with the shoe... hahaha and that's it!!! I can tell you right now!  You have to forgive me but it's better this way! trust me! What do you think? The last broadcast on the shoes is getting closer and we will have the final prototypes here... damn! You don't know how nervous I am about all this and what we're going through. I share a photo of the last dinner with the design team, manager and owner of the factory. Only 1 speaks English, but everyone drinks... and a lot... a hug family. SEE YOU ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT!!!!!!

#3: THE FOOTPRINT. The Footprint we will leave is ready!!

We already have an official sole, what do you think?...Let me share the progress of the topic; we now have the sole ready! it has been a tough battle in which I have felt like a winner.    This is a real roller coaster of feelings. Today I feel like a winner and happy, yesterday I was frustrated by the problem that I am going to tell you...   As you can see, this is the final result of the Banbroken sole, I'm amazed! first, they showed me a mold of putty and later (after payment) the metal plates are personalized with the mold definitive for the sole. and here is the result! *Confidence: Do you know how much I had to pay for the mold for one size? 2900 €... cheer up! And that price must be paid for each size of sneakers that we take out... that's why everyone makes t-shirts and not sneakers... at least I will have to take from 36 to 46 and for the half sizes I think we will give winter socks so as not to be left with soles but without sneakers... 😅    Now the problem I am encountering is the following, due to a communication error; something that with China is more common than you can imagine, they have made the "midsole" part that is, the EVA or FOAM rubber that goes on top of the sole, very wide and the look it gives to the shoe is that it looks like I'm wearing women's wedges instead of sneakers. So we have to redo the design again. Nothing happens, for now they assume the corresponding costs of the mold because clearly the mistake was theirs; It's more homework, and a bit of showing your teeth; but better now than not finding this in the final production... here I show you the higher size sole above and the correct one below. It is taking color and in the next installment of my broadcast about our adventure, I am going to reveal to you one of the great secrets about zapas and why they are going to make them different from the rest; I really want to tell you!!!! Again with gratitude and emotion, Antonio Millán

#2: INSPIRATION. The Mental Journey behind Unique Sneakers

From Vintage Inspiration to Lizard Footprints: A Story of Passion and Creativity in the World of Footwear. Hello comrade,   * Today I'm sharing with you a special part of my journey in developing these shoes. It has been a journey full of passion, creativity and, above all, a deep love for the desire to achieve excellence in footwear.    When I started this project, I was clear that I wanted something different, something that combined vintage and minimalism. In recent years, just like the colorful; I am attracted to minimalism, with its simplicity and elegance. (a pen on my desk bothers me, so you understand me.). So we wanted our shoes to be a tribute to that classic aesthetic but with a modern twist.   For the upper part the so-called "upper" we worked tirelessly in search of the perfect material, one that was resistant to abrasion (mechanical tests) and that would guarantee the durability of our shoes.   I hired a designer so that the idea could take digital form and after telling him the idea of the upper, references and sketches (I'm terrible at drawing) he presented me with 4 options in white, adding the one I finally selected. But I didn't stop there. I wanted the aesthetic, along with minimalism, to represent the brand, for the sole of our sneakers to be something unique, something that would differentiate us from all the others. Looking at options, I fell in love with the transparent soles, because they allowed us to unleash our creativity and add a touch of joy and color to each pair. That's when I decided to take the reins of the sole design.    I dove into research, looking everywhere for inspiration. (I would go to the department stores and fill my camera roll with photos of all styles and materials) but my friend Google was the assistant who in one of my searches (I was looking for all kinds of things that came to mind) enlightened me, upon discovering that the animal with the greatest grip on the planet is a type of lizard, so I used its footprint and placed it on the front area of the sole.(I attach the photo here).     They also favored running due to their shape, so we emphasized the grooves in this front part for the flexing of the shoe during the support phase of the running.   We wanted our shoes to be as comfortable as they were functional, so we designed a mechanical configuration for the rear; which provides maximum seat and comfort during the negative phase of the stride and great stability during weight bearing in this area. (see drawings) My commitment to this project led me to devour books, articles, and consume all the related content I could find. Because when something touches you inside this way, you don't want to do anything else.   I wanted to be a true connoisseur of the market and understand every aspect of sneaker manufacturing. Just like I think I achieved it with the knee pads (although I've been around for 9 years and I'm still learning.)  Today, I am excited about everything I have achieved, I understood that from work on the other side of the screen I was not going to achieve excellence in the shoe and as you already know: Visa+ ticket and to the factory where the latest technology for sports shoes was.    I'm enjoying the process every step of the way, I think it's important. Each pair of sneakers that they give me as a sample is the result of passion, dedication and love. At any time I think the manufacturer is going to give a Kunfu cake because I am too much of a perfectionist (and indecisive at times) so I give it a lot of extra work. but it's to get the best sports shoe and have peace of mind. It is the essence of this project and my way of competing with big brands in the industry, because they still have a team of 100 people, but they do not have 1/4 of the soul and dedication that Banbroken shoes have. . With gratitude and emotion, Antonio Millán

#1: EMPEZANDO. Entrando en materia

#1: GETTING STARTED. Beginning lesson

a little about me and how I got here... It's overwhelming to see you here as excited as I am... I feel with the purpose of doing it, blowing it up and putting on you the best thing you have ever had on your feet. So, I would like to share with you from the beginning (I'm not going to tell you about the beginnings of the brand, xro yes...), how and why today I have within reach, this dream to create the best sports shoes on the market. I think every captain has to have a plan to get to his and... me's treasure; I am one of those who have more maps than ships or one of those who daydream more than necessary... my head does not stop and I do not know if it is a defect or a virtue, but it has brought me where I am, where I am going and with the best of attitudes.  My personal challenge, when it comes to brand products, has always been the same; Being able to dress a person from head to toe, end. At first, honestly, I said it as a joke because I saw it as something very impossible, but time and hard work have made me go to China to look for it at the moment I am writing this to you... Everything arises from increasing volume, moving significant quantities of merchandise, (and I mean clothing, my name is not Escobar). This has made my relationship with manufacturers improve substantially...   This is how it begins, the magic; not so magical of the "chain of favors" that I will summarize it in the following; I asked for help from one of my manufacturers with whom I get along best to develop some grips with a specific type of material and thus I arrived at the following port: … I am introduced to the Manager of an important sports shoe factory; We agreed that I will deal with one of his sales representatives to assist me specifically, so far everything is ok… What was my surprise, that when I asked for a video about the factory and asked about success stories or well-known companies, they gave me the magic wand and my face lit up... it turns out that the factory is not a modest factory, but it turns out to be an entire citadel where sneakers are made... hahaha but giant! 2 huge buildings with 6 floors each.  But what caught my attention was who they work for!... they manufacture for the leading brand in Crossfit and have worked for very, very large companies of global recognition; So, it goes without saying that they have a very strong grip on KNOWHOW and apart from working with NOBULL, they assure me of creating a personal line for the manufacture of sneakers at the same level as the older cousins of the family that manufacture there (PUMA AND ADIDAS), almost nothing eh? In summary, there were two paths that I worked on for months once I got serious about creating the shoes... 1) I did a search for suppliers on my own, to enter little by little; as I always do when I develop a product from scratch; and at the same time 2) I asked my contacts on the Asian continent, this being the route that has turned out to be the best option or at least the choice I have taken. The manufacturer that helped me is the manufacturer of sports knee pads, which I will also visit on this trip to China... (I brought him a bottle of sweet wine from my homeland as a gift, to see what he thinks. ..) In the next broadcast I am going to tell you the first step I took, six months ago, when the "IM" was erased from my head and it became "POSSIBLE". Hugs, thanks for being there and super strength! PRIORIDADES

PRIORITIES

"Don't put your heart into so many things" EN the first glance, this phrase by Epictetus may seem cold or demoralizing, however it is not like that because what it comes to represent is "first... The first thing" They currently sell us something that far from reality allows us to think that "we can have it all" Work, family, purpose, success, enjoyment, free time... And everything NOW! The problem is not in having multiple desires, but the lack of prioritization of them. In a world where the constant search for more is treated, and * ALL * is important, we can easily get lost in the fog. Take a moment today to contemplate our priorities... Are we focused on the right things?

La Obsesión - Buena o Mala?

The Obsession-Good or Bad?

“Your obsessions become your possessions.” Ed Mylett. The word "obsessed" tends to be reflected in bad acts, and carries a bad reputation, in fact there is something logical in that. But since I like it, let's try to see the bright side of things... We can see that "being obsessed" leads to dedicating a lot of hours to the same thing, which we practically do out of wrong feeling and which is not the result of chance. One is really obsessed with something when his passion and fire for "that thing" is so great that his willpower will help him overcome even the toughest storms. Where all other people resign... You move on. For those who are obsessed, failure is simply not an option. Being obsessed with achieving our dreams. Being obsessed with becoming better (whatever you want here). Therefore, being obsessed with what matters most to us, will make our fiercest willpower, aimed in the right direction, is the most powerful thing in the world. Happy day and # super strength

EL ENTUSIAMO.

THE ENTHUSIAM.

"Nothing big has been achieved without enthusiasm." - Ralph Waldo Emerson There is a difference between the one that is “there” and the one that is “being there”. I sewn up a lucky person for the education received; one of the lessons my father burned for me was, whatever you do, do it with trust! Do it with enthusiasm! A father can go to his son's football game and sit in the stands with his phone, waiting for the end. Or you can go and follow the training and be there passionately. (Not screaming or cheering; but wishing to be there. One is ''right there.'' The other is “being there”. You can go to train to comply or go to train to enjoy the process and give yourself to each training, repe and everything that surrounds you. From the outside looking in, it may not be as visibly obvious as the effects it leaves behind. By doing things to do them, it usually does not leave any benefit and leave you with bad mental health consequences... Think about it, and mostly question yourself by looking in the mirror. Look at yourself in every daily activity. Do I say goodbye in a mediocre way with my partner before going to work? Do I greet an employee with a “How are you?” even though we don't mean it? Do I expect the hours to pass while I work? It's okay to discover them in our daily lives. This is all mental health and of course they happen, as we feel comfortable in a routine. But it doesn't mean they should stay that way. Good week and # super strength.

PREOCUPACIÓN. Pasado-Presente-Futuro

PREOCUPACIÓN. Past-Present-Future

"Never let the future disturb you, you will face it (if necessary) with the same weapons of reason that today arm you against the present" EN the first trip I made to China, back in 2017 it was like the one who goes on an excursion or with travel colleagues, full of energy and cutting off power at every step. Nervous, but with great respect, that was an adventure, the adventure that would change my life. I had read a lot about them, the curiosity that, since I can remember, aroused in me, was brutal; for the culture, the economy and especially for imports, don't ask me why but they caught my attention. At that time, he was already aware of the personality of the Asian people (at least online) evenHow they were spent in terms of commerce, since it was also many years that I had been trading with them. This time, however, it was special, face-to-face and above all burdensome; for the duties he carried in his suitcase,The mission of that trip was none other than to fill a maritime container,To the brim,Of knee pads of 5mm. With all that that supposed and I still did not know it. You will be thinking why I tell you all this, and it is because among other things I worry a lot, I"Extra concern". In the suitcase next to the homework, to fill the container, I had concerns and to my understanding, big ones; I rememberExtra worry meFor how to communicate with them. In context, in most factories, the directors or owners speak only Chinese and my English was not the best we say, it was the one that is taken out of school in Spain...😒 For that and for many other concerns(Among them, one that I still remember; There were many people who posed as direct factory workers without being one, known as "Traders") I decided to have the services of "Antonio"... yes, my namesake, but Chino... This, despite being the most incompetent translator in China, the one who wore the worst and the one who had suspended in education and good manners, was also the cheapest and see that at that time he already understood that cheap is expensive. But for those years of beginning, there was no other, I could not afford anything else, everything absolutely everything was going to the knee pads (even what we did not have)... Well, it turned out that Antonio, my Chinese translator, my dear Antonio, was going to give me one of the greatest lessons of my life... I will rewindForward the whole process of; the visits to the factories (more than 18 in 5 days, in very different locations), the exaggerated celebrations of the managers and workers when receiving me, the invitations to meals, which are so far from our usual palate, That I would be unable to describe here and the clash of the new culture; I will overlook all that and also the review that some Chinese gave me drinking in Qingdao and I will focus on the moment of my big decision. Two factories were the finalists, I had to decide on one, to do the many knee pads that we had designed to the millimeter and I still had 500 doubts in my head, an endless number of questions, the time against me and many concerns of the whole process, especially for the future. When Antonio, who had already made each other, realized my condition, offered me some milk from a brikJust after taking it out of your mouth after drinking, and a bite ofBaozi already bitten. You can imagine my answer... The case, we stopped and sat down, the feet fired at me from what we had walked those days and he told me a Chinese proverb that would mark me for life; he said something such that so; Once upon a time there was a Chinese peasant, he was poor but very wise, he worked the land with his son. One day his son told him: -Father, what a great misfortune! The horse has escaped us. -Why do you call it a misfortune? -Answered the father-don't worry, let's see what happens... Within days the horse returned, accompanied by other horses. -Father, how lucky! -Screamed the son-Our horse has brought other horses!! -Why do you call it luck? -The father told him-Let's see what happens... Soon after, the son wanted to tame the horses, one of them rehead and threw him to the ground. The boy broke his leg. -Father, what a disgrace! -The son exclaimed now-I 've broken my leg! And the father, making use of his experience and wisdom, declared:-Why do you call him misfortune? Let's see what happens! The boy was not convinced at all of his fate while crying in pain in his bed. A few days later the king's envoys passed through the village, looking for young people to take them to war. They came to the old man's house, but since they saw the young man with his splinted leg, they left him and continued long. The young man understood then that you never have to give misfortune, or fortune as absolute, but that you always have to give time to time, to see if something is bad or good. We understand that life takes many turns, and its development is so paradoxical that what worried us so much perhaps does not even end up happening; that the bad is good and the good, bad. It is best to accept the present, “surrender to what it is”, here and now… do it with all your soul and the best we can; tomorrow will come and as I said last week in thePrevious broadcast. Let's focus on what we can control NOW. In many things, we are that young Chinese lad. Stop regretting, accept what it is, have an open attitude to whatever comes, be happy with what you have here and now. Due to other circumstances and improvements, that is not our current manufacturer of knee pads, but it helped us a lot in the process and learning, until I became an expert in knee pads and most importantly, everything went well, far from the concerns I had at that time. De esta forma este broadcast se lo dedico, 上海小彭Antonio, Thanks for reading and super strength! If you want to see how our knee pads have evolved today you can click HERE
